JW actors studio is proud to announce that one of our teen students, Lizzy DeClement, has landed a recurrring role in the upcoming television series “The 22″ produced by Robert DeNiro. Lizzy will be playing Ruby Harper who is the daughter of the lead character played by Adam Goldberg. The new drama, due to air shortly, is being brought to the small screen by Executive Producers Robert DeNiro and his partners at Tribeca Films. The initial episode wrapped filming last week and was directed by famed director Stephan Gyllenhaal, who is also the father of actors Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal. She is set to start shooting another episode next week. We are extremely proud of Lizzy’s achievements and it goes to show that with the proper training, work ethic (which Lizzy exemplifies), talent and technique, good things can happen! • A Succesful Evening of Theater in Somerset, NJ!

Our Adult Acting/Improv workshop performed in an evening of theater on June 24th and 25th at 7:30PM at the Indigo Ballroom Theater at 17 Division St. in Somerset, NJ! The evening consisted of scenes from classic American Dramas and Comedies as well as some Improvisation. It was a great success and the audience was treated to be a well rounded theater experience and could not stop talking about what a wonderful evening they had! Our Acting Company is now  slowly emerging onto the NJ Theater Scene and will be performing again in early 2012… Stay Tuned!

  • JW actors studio students sign professional contracts!

JW actors studio is proud to announce that in the past year several of our students have been signed to a professional contract with Noble Talent Management. We’re proud to say that these students are out there auditioning in New York for television, stage, commercials, and film projects.  One student was one step away from landing a lead role on Broadway! She made it through every single audition and call back. She may have not gotten the role this time but she opened a lot of eyes and signed with one of the top talent agencies in New York &  Hollywood! It’s just a matter of time before they all start working!
